An innovative and green approach to wastewater treatment

It may be taken for granted by industrialised nations, but access to water is far from a given in many countries across the world. One of the UN Millennium Goals is sustainable access to safe drinking water for everyone. This film looks at Sodis, the method developed by the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ), which uses solar power to disinfect drinking water. Given that safe drinking water plays a vital role in poverty reduction, the SDC is committed to supporting this promising ETHZ project.
